So what i'm saying is that the difficulty seems to "boil down to" a commonly practiced (in an international sense) colonial belief system, nothing more. And we are experiencing the inevitable Reflections of that Way of Doing Things. You took some meaningful time in composing that response, and i feel moved to do so also. This type of thinking is the "bottom line" of the elite element in Western/anglo-centric societies according to my institutional analysis. A belief system that all colonials share, apparently. (Is it also roman?) I don't know about japanese colonials, but weren't they spurred into colonizing china, originally? The belief system has been written about by well-known authors like Walter Lippmann, Reinhold Niebuhr, Harold Lasswell, and others that i can't easily recall at the moment. It is a belief system that is utterly alienated from the natural world and our place in it. It is a belief system that sees humanity as "empty" machines. A belief system that fits well within the idea brought up in "The Never-ending Story", Part 1, where a perpetual, dark night threatens to envelope the beautiful world depicted in the story. Certain material elites follow this Playbook "to the letter". They know of no other "realistic" approach. Their "elite education" did not help them liberate themselves, it coerced them into subordinating to "The Way Things Are", just like the rest of the population, but with more material wealth. The u.s. population, from "lower classes" to the "upper classes" has been psychologically genocided by this elites' 'Playbook'. While non-white people and others different in some way, are more heavily dealt with. You read Harriet A. Washington about how Black folks were dealt with by the medical industry (in Medical Apartheid), and you can begin to see how widespread this kind of alienation has been - for centuries. Including the apparent 3000 years of anglo enslavement at the hands of the romans.
