Sadly, whenever a science is Accepted Offishally

Whenever a science, no matter which kind, is officially Accepted, certain controls enter. Those controls are made up of men who say to the idealists who finally got "in" to Acceptance, that now they have to "grow up" because the reason their science is accepted has nothing at all to do with a serious alternative, say, to religion.

The reason they get awarded all kinds of Big Funding is because they HAVE TO do "a service" for statecraft.

In psychology that seems to mean active participation in torture.
