Just indulging a fantasy

I think maybe a portion of the people who do fantasize about having their own islands (or actually buy one) secretly indulge the fantasy of having almost total autonomous power while on the island.. do as they want etc. The truth is a bit less exciting when you realise that no matter what island you might possess, it is still part of some other bigger country that will exercise the law against you if you step out of line. But the fantasy is strong.
