When 5 year old Zainullah fell down a deep well in Kandahar, which was too narrow (at around 30 cm in diameter) for an adult to pass through, they had to find a local whippet-thin boy who had the bravery to go 70 metres down to rescue the child: this is when 11-year-old Hazrat Omar stepped up, who is apparently an old lag at this sort of thing, haven't been sent on a similar successful rescue mission once before.
