ALEXIS! nt

In reply to useless DOSSIERS and hoarding useless info... posted by OSP on 2026-October-4 01:48:39, Sunday

Some of the guys were playing with a tagging system where they would say "ALEXIS! nt" in the subject line of the reply to trolls, not too different to your experimentation with the #IGNORE tag or an external version of the #OneResponseMethod a number of the habituates of this place have used in response to certain trolls. The fact that BC is still here could be interpreted as a testimony to the effectiveness of the Alexis principle, but also the hostility that can so reliably be found here hints that we may have saved the body, but lost the soul.

Then again the recent conversation with Roam does show that BC's Momma Bears do rally to defend their own. The Greenfried situation is maybe a better example. If we agree with Puer Aeternus that the Gort situation was "the Alexis Principle in action."

Do you agree with the guys who say that it's our responsibility as a community to moderate ourselves and take care of our own, with the cogs largely staying out of it. Maybe that's not what the Alexis principle means at all. Often times ancient history is confusing with no clear answers.
