Just let people have their opinions. Opinions are like ice cream. If person A likes vanilla and person B likes strawberry, they both can coexist and respect each other's opinions. You should appreciate it if someone contributes to your post, but instead of hearing people out you get all huffy with those who you don't agree with. It's starting to look like you are treating BC like a litter box where you find people to shit on when you are itching for a fight. You have a right to get up on your soap box, but it would be smarter to use your time in the spotlight to be persuasive. All of this hostility is just performative, but no one here is impressed by your performances. You are a lot like berry, coming to BC looking for a certain reaction, with seemingly zero awareness of how few readers come to BC these days. Those few kind souls who responded gave you a gift, because in reality no one cares that much. Yes its terrible that x number of babies die from that. That is sad. But life is risky and a minuscule risk of death accompanies every choice in life. Just walking with a fork carries a non-zero risk of death. Also of course human bodies are imperfect at birth. We all have original sin, meaning we are to some degree separated from God and fallen, both spiritually and physically. Circumcision is like foot binding or tribal tattoos, from the outside it looks worthless, but to the people in the traditions, painful scarring traditions bring meaning to their lives. If we were arguing one might say it's a faith thing, you wouldn't understand, but since we are trying to be civil and friendly we can just agree that shrill over reactions to people's comments aren't persuasive. The only difference between a troll and an authentic conversation is if you are attempting to come to an understanding with the person. If you've given up on persuasion and start trying to win debate points with some imaginary debate judge that's when you slide into trolling territory.
