One of the (many) reaqsosn why I don't even bother to argue with you anymore is because you keep shifting the goal-posts. I mean, you're still dependably wrong. No matter what bullshit argument you're trying to make, you are virtually always completely wrong. The Peleset, for instance, very quickly assimilated into Canaanite society leaving only their name behind. The Philistines of the Biblical narratives are culturally almost indistinguishable from the Israelites: both are basically Iron Age Canaanite societies, distinguished by geography rather than language or culture or even straightforwardly religion. And the modern Palestinians, though they trace their name ultimately from a Bronze Age Sea People, are the descendents of all the people who have passed through the Levant over many millennia - as, indeed, are some Israeli Jews. It is one of the ironies of history that - with the notable exception of the Gaza strip - most of the historic Philistie territories now belong to Israel, whereas the historic Israelite homelands west of the Jordan are properly part of Palestine. |
