Yes there is a point in pussyfooting. Pussyfooting is good! Call yourself "loves kids" or "a gym rat" a "child of God." Euphemisms serve a valuable purpose. There is no good reason to degrade the wonderful diverse whole person that you are by classifying yourself solely by sexuality type.

That doesn't mean never talk about sexual attraction though. You (people) can talk about feelings without those feelings automatically placing you into a category. One of Apertado's blog posts was talking about the DMCA's definion of "pedophile disorder" and it described being 16 years old and up and being sexually attracted to little kids, but that is the outdated version of the diagnostic criteria. The modern definition of "pedophile disorder" is someone 16 or older who is bothered by their sexuality for over six months, but if they aren't bothered by it then it's not a disorder. If you don't have a disorder, don't use a disordered word. Or do. It's your life and it's your choice. Just don't think you are being extra honest when you talk about yourself with such a reductionist word.
