I’d recommend SMIL MAND! as it is quite similar in some ways. Also the French teen life tale, BLUE JEANS, and THE BEST WAY TO WALK is quite charming too, though that’s about summer camp I believe. And then there’s a good Soviet comedy from the 60s (from the same director as COME AND SEE interestingly enough) titled WELCOME OR NO TRESPASSING that is especially funny.
