Only briefly skimmed your post because it's all been said before. There is no "boylove community". Maybe once upon a time, when BLN had 60k members, but that kind of size freaked out the muggles so much they'll never let it happen again. That is how "boylove" survives now, by staying fragmented. "At this point, what purpose does this board serve other than being the default home for people who've been here so long they can't imagine being anywhere else?" At this point, BC serves a very important purpose in that it's a place to regroup, find each other, post announcements of boards opening/closing, etc. To that end, it's not just the default home of a few old timers, it's the default home of all bls. I've never expected much of it beyond that, I'm just glad it survives. May it live forever. |
