This reminded me of one of the articles I contributed to.

BoyChat is an extreme case. It always destined to attract the insane, stubborn and deeply mentally traumatized (the board was launched in the middle of a child pornography and abduction panic). But now in particular, it has been so thoroughly hollowed out by trolls, feds and other voyeurs and opportunists, that to post here regularly would itself be an act of insanity.

This says nothing about the disposition of boy-attracted males in the real world, and throughout history, but says everything for (and to) where they now find themselves.
