i think it's about neither

Unfortunately, this public internet forum can't really be designed around things as interesting as love or hate. While there's plenty of desire, grievance, nostalgia, yearning, and even cogent analysis, I think the main purpose of BC is simply to provide an outlet for the taboo. So whether you call it freedom of speech or wrongthink or honesty or escapism, this board is about saying what we're not allowed to say anywhere else. Which purpose lends itself to some pretty abrasive interactions if you think about it. As my betters have said here many times before, the only thing we have alike is a shared love for boys. Everything else puts us at odds with each other. Not insurmountable odds, but formidable odds nonetheless. Onyx
