This is correct. I have extensively dove into the high-level area of AI, and I can tell you that, despite the hype that everyone actually believes that it is sentient, it is nothing more than a database and a high-powered super-fast search engine. Gen AI is extremely hallucinogenic. Sometimes you can get a good result with one-shot, multi-shot or chain-of-thought, and sometimes it is AI slop. You never know and you have to iterate on your prompt to force it in the direction you want it to go. Other times, it will not let go of a bad step and you need to wipe it clean and start over. On the CH website, Brian even goes over the tools he uses and a lot are post AI production video and audio editors. That tells you everything. In short, no, Chaisen and Arti and all the others ARE NOT directing their own fate. it is simply CoT where the output when satisfactory by the human, is reentered as a reference for the next output. If they want to call this hand-holding an "AI directed self-generation", then fine, its equivalent of saying that AI robots build all Toyotas, because the machines are running their programs at every stage in the assembly line, but there were humans who did all of the pre-production work and any post-production work needed to get the robots to build a finished product. That being said, Brian is a masterful prompt engineer, as well as a storyteller. ![]() |
