Perhaps even a new page on BC called "meet the participants"... On this page you could associate your nik with a general perspective about your overall participation on BC (in 100 words or less). What is it about this topic that you as a person are concerned with, what little message would you offer. Mine is less about the boy's "suppression of erotic energy" although that is a very serious reality in this culture, I would say my concern is in the very damaging idea of what erotic adventure is in male youth... In other words the attitude of a culture that can only see, and attack male youthful sexuality by way of humiliation, punishment, criminality, and mandatory mental health diagnosis with the preconceived and mandatory (presumptuous) determination that physical intimacy shared by a male youth under 18/16yo with a friend younger, or older is abuse, is disgusting, is a mental illness, is evil, and so very unnatural. It's in this toxic brew that so many experts gain employment, and thus grow the abuse industry to very destructive limits, it has become a growing and thriving business rewarding all the stakeholders in profit, recognition, divine moral superiority, and reasons to feel important and impose judgment. The academic and what they call themselves as "scientific class" hold this predetermined narrative of rhetoric, that, or get absolutely ostracized and ousted if for one second they choose to offer a sex positive finding or begin down a road that may go against the present day narrative that demands male youth, and any older friend that may entertain passion play be deemed criminals, victims, and diagnosed with brain abnormalities, and social inadequacies. From the fundamental outline above, many hurtful interventions and lives have been absolutely destroyed. It fosters secrecy, risk taking, negative self worth, guilt, and fosters antisocial behaviour in the false labelling of what erotic physical intimacy truly is, how it's vilified, and made to be so unacceptable. Why this occurs? Who benefits? How does it all get funded? And the overall long term consequences/ramifications to a civilization are further subtopics, but my resentment is with the fundamental premise that erotic fun needs to be so diabolical, and such a source of income. A society will do, what a society does... the consequences and long term results also reflect in the opportunistic, surveillance state, and drama craved masses. Thank you to BC for near 30 years, that has allowed other perspectives to be discussed. That in a nut shell is my encapsulated general perspective of the topic at hand here at BC... |
