... a boy's just shared with me the movie "The Kite" from Lasse Nielsen (I'm not sure why he assumed I hadn't already seen it, but he knows me well enough to be sure it would be of interest to me). It happens that this boy also has a special connection with a slightly younger (and gorgeous) Palestinian boy, and hasn't hesitated and sent his Middle-Eastern friend a third of his wage, as he's just joined the working force this year (He's from a poor family, so that was really not some "extra money" for him). How admirable and touching is that? While the richest man on the planet uses his wealth to bring conflict all over the world, the poorest kids on the planet secretly act in solidarity with each other to save the world from its inhumanity. That's a lesson of humility for me, and hopefully for anyone else reading it. As long as there is love and boys in this world, there is hope, isn't it? Lots of happy boys to you, FF ![]() mi lon. mute mije lili kin li lon. o sina kute e mi, mi ala wile, pilin pona mi li anpa e pilin ante. |
