"Inferiority complex? I thought I was displaying a superiority complex!" I wouldn't think there to be a contradiction between looking down on someone and feeling threatened by their success. "absolute property rights" Again, the geography is different. In the US, people can actually have property; so why would anyone here see "absolute property rights" as a bad thing? And there's the politics too. It's not like in the UK where you've choked economic mobility out of the economy. Naturally, this makes anyone who benefits from a rigid class structure hostile to the idea that the masses should have any rights at all. Rights have always been a threat to class privilege. ![]() |
