they BELIEVE (and don't think thru) propaganda. Of WHATEVER flavor. Glad to hear your nuance, tho! Me, i'm a fan of the u.k. feminist group that came to the aid of people like Roger Moody! Plus, i think that 'feminist men' is a thing worthwhile to identify with, as feminism is not just a womens' thang! There can be masculine women (i.e. dykes) as well as feminine women AND men. i happen to think that best is a mix of both, and possibly more conceptions (as trans people have tried to pursue). Life is poetry after all, and the newer generations are simply seeking to articulate ANOTHER PATH forward. While i myself would never trust the medical establishment enough to change my 'sex', and also don't like the idea of changing myself to fit some seemingly self-hating position (what ARE the origins of trans ideas if not due to some bullies Telling such men and boys that they are "Not Men" if they will not or cannot fight?), i do see nuances and i do see the poetic value of the trans position, i think. i even know several trans people, and still have my problems with their pronouns! Even tho i try to respect their desires, i really don't agree with them, unless they were a "true" hermaphrodite (having BOTH sex organs or similar). But "to each his own" i like to say. |
