The post I find so difficult to write... From my first post(s) in 1997, when you were among the original great BC administrators and mentors, I was immediately attracted to your mind, your thoughts, and the words you used to express them. They impacted me so greatly. You radiated peace and love, and you shared it with everyone in every post. Your sense of humor was refreshing and non-threatening and you weren't afraid to show it to alpha posters who sometimes hit first and asked questions later. You changed my lifelong indoctrination of hating Communists, and you changed me by challenging my opinions and at times my harsh comments. We found common ground in the love of precious boys. You taught me that love surpasses politics. You were right. I still smile when remembering the time when Jimf3 was retiring as Webmaster. Jim nominated me to be the next webmaster. You subsequently made comments that I should do it but suggested I shouldn't beat up every poster who disagreed with me (har). Inevitably I declined the offer, and I think it was poor Camper who got stuck with it. Those were the good old days, and they were BC's best days. Without ever meeting you in person, I loved you, kabby, and I will think of you fondly, keeping you and your beautiful boy picture in my thoughts as long as I live. Walking through the corridors of eternity, may you find peace in knowing how you impacted so many lives with love and understanding, and may you find your destination in the eternal classless, stateless society, where sweet boys with wings are there to guide you and love you forever. The world is an emptier place today, but those of us who knew kabouter will remain filled with his many examples of love and hope for a better world. Rest in eternal peace, my friend. honesty.. |
