He most certainly was involved in that. He also slept on Dam Square (in front of the Royal Palace) and in the Vondel Park with the other hippies.

He was always regaling us of his adventures in those days. I witnessed them too to some extent but he was in the thick of it.

But I saw Hendrix's last gig on the Isle of Wight and he hadn't and he never forgave me for reminding him hahahaha
