Real people deeply wounded by social warfare

So i'd think you of all people would approach in a more empathic stance, seeing as to how you wish OTHERS to empathize with you and all. If you don't even practice what you preach, how're you even going to inspire people to want to liberate themselves thru your example?

Granted, the manufactured age differences between your generation (i suspect, like me, of the Rollback Generation) and most of the guys depicted in the film has been made to seem extreme, thus a quite typical response. From the typical dumbed-down, anyway.

i actually knew most of these people (the public activists), and even tho i agree that 'Leyland' comes off as super creepy in the film, in person he was a charmer. i would have fallen for him as a kid for sure; plus, as a 20-something i DID find a desire to get to know him sensually! And actually showered with him once! (heh!)

So in this case i would promote comparing samples from history (and WISH i had mentioned it to the producer). Where you have people behaving a lot differently under intense stress (who dares speak openly, much less in a longterm-kept film??), and such contexts like that.

To simply ask questions that are not popularly promoted is to more heartily inspire interest in one's writings and efforts, i think. But since it's almost impossible to measure (BC doesn't share such stats does it?), i guess we're all just going with our "gut instincts"; our intuition about all this stuff.

And for me it's definitely spiritual.

Now, i suppose you found Peter to be creepy as well? Well, there was a hard-scrabble, staunchly public, Big City lover of adolescents. Snippy just like one, i thought! Jumping on you figuratively speaking, and pushing you to your limits without consulting you --which i felt was disrespect. Tho no in retrospect i recognized him goading me in a good-natured, tho scrappy, abrasive way. (Just like what the academically-challenged set around him thought of me!)(But didn't bother to dialogue with me about it!)

(Figuring by the time i came along they were already SO burned out! After having all the police/fed raids and a rigidly hostile media, then all the horrors facing them if the 'Higher Ups' decided to frame them or such intrigues, since all of these men, these champions of boys (!) SURVIVED BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T BREAK SEX HYSTERIA LAWS!)

But i was a young hotshot like you appear to be, and i guess i "didn't listen" in the way they were used to. And maybe they were already too burned out to "waste their time" to try to "talk sense into" the likes of me. That makes sense, actually.

The popularized Society wants us all to NOT THINK too carefully and just REACT emotionally. Once you 'get' this pattern, you can more readily approach the difficulty and not be fooled by its traps.
