It was by way of a video chat. Setting up anonymity was a bear! The last thing I want is for someone as unstable as she is to be able to DOX me! She looked worse than she did a year ago today, when I last spoke to her... Her hair is even thinner and wispier. She's still having problems taking her meds, even though the nurses in the home insist. She watches a lot of TV--the doctors encourage that, as the prognosis for her is very poor. They still have to restrain her with leather thongs in bed, but she no longer complains about waking up after her heavily-drugged sleep with a greasy "back entrance" as she puts it. She seems to have accustomed herself to the orderlys' liberties. She has transferred most of her posting chores to another lady at her former church--the only one who has stuck with her after that scandal I told you about last time that got her forcibly ejected from her church. Her spirits? Well, she has good days, and bad days. I got lucky, as she was rational, at least for the most part, when I spoke with her. She's lost weight, and appears more and more skeletal. She apologises again for all the shit-disturbing she's done here. She blames her mental health problems for that... Anyway, she sends her best to all! Which ain't much ;-) Poor girl... M. You can't help but feel sorry for her. You know, the dementia and all. It's really not her fault! "There but for fortune go you and I." |
