Surely you must realize the irony of using an art critic to bolster your absurd claim that slavery was ever "necessary" for civilization while also dismissing the long-standing findings of any number of economists that it's actually capitalism that's necessary as nothing more than some purported brainwashing you cannot even attest to. If that sand-eating two-year-old were in fetters, perhaps you'd similarly turn around and rationalize it.
