The expression has no currency, does it? Who uses it? "Special relationship" and "special friendship" are commonly used politically, between nations or parties, etc. It needs context to refer to a pederastic relationship -- doesn't do it on its own. When I saw the title of your post, I immediately wondered what you were going to say about Peyrefitte's novel. As for it referring specifically to schoolboy friendships -- you sure this friend isn't actually Peyrefitte himself having some occult fun? |
