The DSM-V may not classify hebephilia as a disorder, but other resources and entities might. Whether or not the DSM-V does or doesn't classify anything as a disorder is separate to whether DDG's AI overviews do. The language of DDG's reply suggests that the AI views hebephilia as a disorder, despite DSM-V not seeing it that way. The reason for that could be anything from DDG's AI having old or outdated information (DSM-IV viewed paedophilia as a disorder, though I don't recall whether it did the same with hebephilia) to a deliberate choice to focus on sources which support the "it's a disorder" conclusion. |
