It does not matter whether child porn saves lives or not, how can a children NGO ask for more funding and more donations without over hyping and blowing up child porn as something that is a huge danger to society? They can“t.

There are thousands of jobs and billions of euros being spent trying to stop "child porn", filters, developers, staff, police time, children NGOs, conference, the child porn business is huge and those are well paid comfortable jobs for doing very little. If child porn becomes legal tomorrow they all go out of the door and end up unemployed or flipping burgers at McDonalds. The personal interest of people working in child porn is to scare the population for them to get more funds.

And anybody advocating for legalisation will be vilified and called a paedophile which is far worse than being a nazi and a fascist, you have no chance in hell of getting elected anywhere if you are going to advocate for child porn legalisation.
