Allegation or casual remark?

In reply to Corey Feldman alleges Corey Haim ‘molested’ him. posted by JohnHolt on 2025-December-20 18:18:52, Saturday

I think it's worth pointing out that unlike the case of his My Truth (2020) documentary which he himself produced, it does not seem that Feldman had any creative control over this new documentary by Marcia Hume. It's not like Feldman put out some official press release to announce something about Haim or sat down for an interview focusing on this topic, but that the news media has simply picked up some random clip from the new film and turned it into a clickbait headline.

Hume claims that the documentary took 9 years to make, so I'm sure there are any number of off-the-cuff remarks she may have picked up. I haven't seen the documentary myself and don't know the circumstances under which he makes the claim that Haim "molested" him, but it contains the hallmarks of a random casual quip rather than a thought-out recollection. People aren't as literal in casual settings and are more likely to engage in hyperbole as opposed to when making a more deliberate accusation, so I would be careful about characterizing Feldman as if he had meant his comment to be taken literally when he was probably just speaking loosely about Haim propositioning him.
