Humming the good word

I often write "Judeo-Christian" just so I can hum it to myself. There's something euphonically compelling about it.

Is what you write tending gnostic here?

But the Nature you paint as fallen, as an illusion or mistake that will be shed upon return to the Good -- that's the very Nature I venerate. Don't worry, I fear Her -- fear Her to the point of shivering ecstasy. But to equate this workaday Nature, the one we confront every phlegm-ridden morning and every sex-stained night, with the beneficent, cleansed supernatural is just another avoidance of the fetid swamp I take as the source of profoundest mystery.

Religion, like art, is a cope. A very profound, vitally important cope -- giving meaning to the very concept of being human. Paganism is just more hands-on honest.

Let's face it: God the Father vs Astarte the Whore of Babylon is Judeo-Christianity vs. Nature.
