This is one of the reasons I'm so fascinated by the rise of the Boyz Laabu genre. I posted about it a few times while you were gone -- I'll link below a post I made on the subject and that post in turn links to one where I discussed directly the consequences of "forced ignorance" about pederasty.

In any case, for the first time since the demise of Japan's wakashudo ("the way of youth") some 150 years ago, we're seeing the emergence of a culture in which, to paraphrase what you wrote, the power of beautiful boys is being acknowledged-- at least obliquely if not wholly openly.
