Win10 and Win11.. quite notorious for 'features' enabled by default that a rational person wanting privacy would not want in their wildest nightmares. Win11 particularly continues the Microsoft tradition of treating it's customers like compliant idiots who will tolerate all manner of spying on their private activities.. known to take snapshots of your activities, sending who-knows-where. All for your convenience or some such. Also, if you have Google on your phone, then it could be listening in.. possibly 24/7. I was speaking with my co-workers a few months ago and there was an iPhone close by. The subject happened to be a fairly obscure one, about not using your towball to do a snatch rescue on another vehicle (can snap off and become lethal cannonball at the car being rescued). Within a few hours that very same subject showed up in the newsfeed for the co-worker that owned that phone. It was probably the Google app on that phone which would have been responsible.. they pick it up but they also share with other websites and apps like Facebook, eBay etc etc, and vise-versa. So yes.. plenty of ways that your phone could be monitoring what you do.. never treat it as being fully private. There are companies that specialise in using phones to spy on people if you are likely to be a person of interest. ![]() |
