I find your binary treatment of high culture vs low culture to be elitist and naïve. It is in the nature of such aesthetes to not rock the boat owing to the aristocratic privilege you admire, so your critique seems rather misplaced. Privilege is itself tautological, a circle leading nowhere. You're simply either in or you're out. It is base tribal nonsense romanticized, and tastelessness is just a matter of taste.
