Primary vs secondary

In reply to Orange Turtle was giving the *clinical* definition posted by Manstuprator on 2025-August-31 01:12:47, Sunday

"In the nonexclusive form, pedophiles may be attracted also to adults."

No. The definition he gives already includes both exclusive and nonexclusive. The problem I was pointing out was that the definition treats it as only a primary attraction rather than also including pedophilia as a secondary attraction. They're pedophiles too.

"In today's world, any age discrepancy between two romantic/sexual partners may trigger the knee-jerk "You're a fucking PEDOPHILE!" response."

Irrelevant. We're talking about attraction to children.

"Of course, being attracted to children is genetically encoded in humans. If it weren't, none of us would be here."

Kind of like how your stupidity is genetically encoded.

We are here (on this website) regardless of how our sexual attractions came to be. But if you want to take credit for the existence of the human race, that's just a deluded story inside your head. As hard as it might be for you to imagine, most people (including pedophiles) are capable of having sympathy for children and helping them survive evolutionarily without having any sexual interest in them whatsoever.
