I acknowledge that such relationships can and do exist, although many (probably most) Virpedeans don't. My reason for not engaging in such relationships is that the risk to the young person's welfare is simply too great (on an emotional level, not just a social/legal one).

As it happens, I was also once in the position you describe with a 15 year-old boy and I, too, declined. We have been together for 13 years now and I'm glad I waited ;-)
