Did you know that lifeline has it's own message board? It looks very similar to the BC message board, with one very key difference - no criticism of the Lifeline chatroom or any Lifeline volunteers is tolerated. Here is an example of a post criticizing a lifeline regular (not even a volunteer). Notice the link where it was was cross posted onto the Lifeline message board. The next day that message was deleted and BC's unofficial Official investigative journalist was removed from the approved posters list. Chatting in real time on Lifeline can lead to some very meaningful experiences. Unlike BC where everything we say is stored on our permanent record, the things we say on Lifeline in theory just scroll off the bottom of the chat never to be seen again. It is possible that a member of the chat could be sitting back silently just recording the chats or screen shotting them, and you never know when a volunteer might go into therapist mode and start screen shotting the troubling things that some chatters say for their patient notes, but really, how likely is it that those files would fall into enemy hands? If that did ever happen you can be sure that it would never be spoken of out loud, out of a fear that it would make people not want to participate in Lifeline chats. That would be the kind of situation that could only be spoken of in hushed tones, behind the scenes, out of view of the public. If you think you are ready to see what lies behind the curtain, volunteer yourself, but until then it's like anything else. Enjoy it for what it is but also be very careful with your personal information and assume that everyone you talk to is a deep cover law enforcement operative. Hopefully they aren't! Probably most of them are authentic caring people willing to lend an ear to childlovers in need of support. Probably the reason the chat is rarely open these days is that the volunteers are busy with their young friends at the pool. ![]() [@nonymouse] [Guardster] [Proxify] [Anonymisierungsdienst] |
