Ben Shapiro yaks about Elio. The director wanted to express his own man-hungry pedo-ness through the character of a cute 11-year old boy, who is subject to an alien abduction (!) but the queer elements were blocked. That isn't the story. The story is that Ben is talking about it. Ben, in his own yarmulke-clad voice, is enumerating the pinky-winky queer-boy vision that ISN'T in the film. Ben talking about HOW to represent man-hungry 11 year old boys, their self-expression and their needs . . . that's the story. My assumption is that the BentKey material (which Ben's company offers) is fail: stuffy, didactic, conservative-correct, and, like the stuff you get at Trader Joe's subtley "off" in flavor. ---Sb ![]() [@nonymouse] [Guardster] [Proxify] [Anonymisierungsdienst] |
