You can find history, biographies, poetry, studies, and stories from all around the world on the website. I believe it’s actually run by someone here. It’s where I find a lot of the BL books that I read. I couldn’t recommend it enough. Books I recommend (they’re pretty historical, so if you want very up to date content, maybe these aren’t the best. They can all be found in PDF or EPUB form online, though): There’s an art book that explores how boys were treated from an artistic standpoint through the ages called The Beautiful Boy by Germaine Greer. It has lovely artwork and gives a lot of historical context, which you might guess. It’s from 2003. My favorite self indulgent fiction BL books are Les amitiés particulières by Roger Peyrefitte and Les garçons by Henry de Montherlant. They have similar plots because the authors corresponded. Les garćons is from 1969, but it’s based on the author’s play that was written before. Les amitiés particulières is from 1943 and has a movie from 1964. As for psychology, I recommend Corydon by André Gide. It’s written in the style of a Greek dialogue. The first character goes to visit an old friend who is an expert to try to understand boy love and homosexuality. It was fully published in 1924, but parts of it were published before that. — Olly :) ![]() |
