Am I supposed to know whom this is about?

I tried doing a quick search to find out what happened. I don't really know my way around the virped site so I couldn't find any press releases or anything. I even tried checking if the bovine lovers at Moo were discussing it and came up empty. In any case, I think the incident would have been more newsworthy if it had involved an actual minor.

I am generally agnostic when it comes to virped, but I think it's important that someone is out there making a splash and the whole idea that a pedophile might be "virtuous" (as much as we might snigger at anti-c peds) is disruptive enough in the minds of normies to qualify. Plus, I don't think we can discount that they may be able to reach some pedos in a way that pro-c pedos cannot. A pedophile can go through many different points in their lives when they are more or less receptive to one kind of message or another and it's foolhardy to think they're always at a point where they can reject normative ideas about sexuality and hit the ground running.

I think it bears comparison with Alcoholics Anonymous. Is their abstinence-only approach effective? No. Is their disease-based model of their subject legitimate? No. Is it generally a good thing that there are groups like them out there? Yes. Despite the fact that everything they believe is garbage, the thing about AA that actually works is that they provide a social support network. If there are pedophiles in need of a social support network and they wouldn't be caught dead joining one that is open to pro-c viewpoints, better they join virped than nothing at all especially if they are in crisis.
