What benefit do you get from rationing out things?

Why don't you just make readily available what you have been fortunate enough to collect? You've benefited from the work of others, who have alerted you to items they have found, which you've then made into a collection.

That's nice of you to do, but why keep it reserved for "the chosen few" who you pre-qualify and approve of?
