I keep abreast of the U.K. and U.S. positions on this issue and I think the extent to which it is more the U.S. that is crazier than the U.K. is overstated a bit. In general, I find cultural craziness to be much more on par with both countries, the difference being primarily in the lack of an organized and weaponized Christian Evangelical movement in the U.K. Thanks for the link, I'll read Tom's latest hornet's nest. I suspect that he will moderate quite a bit more in his position than I am inclined to do. |
