On re-reading your response to me I realize that my hasty response to it was utterly without merit: "I think that you may be engaging in a bit of that, yourself." You were doing no such thing and I apologize for saying so. There's no excuse for incivility and, if the other fellow, Arota, also felt my sting, then I would offer him an apology, as well, as I do think that it is important to discuss these topics using logic and suasion rather than intemperate, ill-considered responses. I still disagree with his opinion. Now, I hope you understand what I was trying to communicate about science and the distinction between how it is conducted by flawed humans versus how it exists as a principle that serves an enormously important role in society. I've always been bothered by what I see as a frequent lack of fidelity to objective reality on the part of many of our "brethren," as it were. hugzu ;-p |
