Yes, there is more freedom in "authoritarian" countries than the "free" countries. Because the "free world" are the good guys, anyone who is even the slightest bit different or critical must be the bad guys. And unlike an "authoritarian" government, people themselves will crack down on dissenters, you don't even need the government to step in (but they will anyway)
