You should write that lengthy post. I'd definitely be interested in reading it. None of us get to choose the epoch in which we live, and I feel that we should just make the best of things; and there are certainly many compensations for living in our era, which we should definitely seize with alacrity. The only question is whether they are sufficient to make up for all the negative features.
