Even though it has a name, it isn't a disorder. Pans can be fully functional, even super-functional, like Michael Jackson and Bill Gates.

I think we come in two types: the independent and the dependent. Just like boys come in the two types. Women's magazines always write about the dependent type: men who want a mother (their Wendy) not an equal partner as the modern woman thinks of herself.
