Alice hates apples, but loves oranges. Alice sees Bob eating an apple.

Alice says to Bob:

"Eating apples is bad, because apples are fruits!"

Bob says in response:

"Well, since oranges are fruits too, I guess now you'll tell anyone you see eating an orange that eating oranges is bad."

Why did Bob reply the way he did?
