How insecure does someone have to be to make hating on the poor such a central part of their personality? Do you ever stop to wonder what your lifestyle would be like today if you had focused more on nurturing long term, supportive relationships with your young friends, rather than on the kind of transactional stranger/tourist encounters that have so often featured in your posts? It seems such a shame that your fear of being outed seems to have kept you from forming friendships with your young friend's families and becoming enmeshed in their community.
