Just out of curiosity, what do you take to be the mechanism if this Near Term Human Extinction? Nuclear war? Climate change? Pandemic? AI run amock? Large Hadron Collider? Kim Kardashian? And - just so I can make suitable adjustments to my life plans - how long have we got?
