And, yes -- often you are not able to communicate effectively, because you do not know how others are using certain words, and -- instead of asking questions in a genuine attempt to find out what they mean -- you merely contradict them and make absolute statements in response. Not an argument. What did I say that was incorrect? "Two glasses of liquid plus two glasses of liquid equals four glasses of liquid" is NOT necessarily a true statement. It may be true, and it may be false. It depends on which liquids are being combined. your other examples were just more of the same. Just because you can change the liquid, or change the glasses, does not mean that there isnt objective truth. One would just have to define the liquid and the glasses before making the truth claim. Nothing you have said shows that there is a "my truth" or "your truth" , or that there isnt objective truth. |
