I agree with both of you, though I think "one boy at a time" is maybe a ingenuousness cop out. Friendships with boys are a good thing, but couching them as a form of activism is silly.

Friendships with boys aren't going to have any real impact on our plight for a hundred different reasons that we can all figure out without explanation. Frankly, we experienced our greatest setbacks at times when friendships with boys were much more possible than they are today.

Today's young BL would struggle to make meaningful YFs. Online friendships with boys through gaming are the only real avenue for them, and it's a poor substitute.
