'Pro-contact' is considered a cringe term.

Since you were out of the community, anti-c's from organizations like Virped and the Tumblr/MAP Twitter org used "pro-contact" in a weaponized manner, so it came to be considered cringe via its association with them and various anti-fandoms.

It is still used, for example, in the name of a PCMA server, as the lead admin of that server likes it.

Generally, it is now considered anti-c cringe, and is filtered down to "pro-c", which might on occasions be specified "pro-consent" or "pro-choice" (Allyn Walker seemed to endorse use of this in his book).
