The author is misguided -- he suggests that pre-pubescents who engage in sexual activity ALWAYS experience harm. That theory has no good empirical evidence to support it, but that is still the basis of the (false) "child sexual abuse" narrative.

There IS good evidence that it is NOT actually sexual activity that may (or -- remember -- MAY NOT) cause harm to minors engaging in such activity with adults (barring any actual physical damage from forcing something too large into an orifice that is too small), but that the actual use of threats of violence -- or actual physical violence -- accompanying sexual behavior may (or -- remember -- MAY NOT) cause harm.

The use of threats of violence or actual physical violence accompanying ANY activity involving two people may (or -- remember -- MAY NOT) cause harm. Assault and/or battery, are punishable already under current laws.

The author seems to be saying that post-pubescents have somehow (magically?) developed physically/mentally to a sufficient degree so that they can safely and rationally choose to have sexual relationships with adults.

But he discounts the fact that the use of threats of violence or actual physical violence STILL may (or -- remember -- may NOT) be involved in those relationships as well, just as they are often involved in OTHER relationships between any two people, no matter what their ages.

While what he claims may help to take legal pressure off of those attracted to adolescents, it is hypocritical as it ignores reality.

If one compares the overwhelmingly vast number of (so-called) "pedophiles" who NEVER use (or would ever use) force or threats of any kind with pre-pubescents to the tiny minority of (perhaps truly "mentally ill") adults who do use force or threats, you see the absurdity of current laws which punish ALL harmless sexual interactions between young people and adults instead of just the damaging interactions.

A "virtuous" pedophile is a person who accepts the label assigned to him by an organization which claims expertise in (so-called) "mental health" but whose members do NOT base their claims on empirical evidence, but, instead, who simply take a vote to decide who is "mentally ill" (in their opinion) and who is (supposedly) "normal". Imagine the harms to patients of traditional doctors if those doctors VOTED on what was a "real physical illness" and what was NOT an illness. Treatment of real diseases would be chaotic at best!

The "virtuous pedophiles" promise to not touch "children." so as to not cause any children the (usually imaginary) harms that the "child sexual abuse narrative" claims occur.

Of course, who would accept such a promise from a person who admits to being "mentally ill"?

"I'm crazy, but not so crazy that I cannot control myself" is what the vir-peds seem to be saying.

Would you agree with what I am saying?

M.
Me? Hey, I'm not crazy to start with, so I don't NEED to promise to control any kind of "mental illness" that those idiots (falsely) claim that I have. How about you?
