a lil Lial/Scotus context for Veronica

When the teenage Lial first showed up at BC Scotus called dibs. Every time Lial made a post or comment, Scotus would pounce at the opportunity to have a connection, any connection at all with the youngster. Lial did not welcome the attention or encourage it in any way, but that didn't stop Scotus from mentioning Lial every chance he got, making no attempt to hide his dream of making Lial his philosophy student. Lials lack of enthusiasm made no difference to Scotus. Scotus took it very hard and very personally when Lial came out as trans, and as you can see here he still has not gotten over it. Scotus is a perfect example of the type of boylover who sees boys as objects to be used, rather than individuals with dignity and human rights to be respected. Users like Scotus see transgirls as tragic "one's that got away" stories. When Scotus got rejected (as if he ever had a chance to begin with) his obsessive love with Lial turned into mean, nasty hate, never passing up the opportunity to make a snide remark. Nothing Scotus says about Lial has anything to do with Lial. Self absorbed narcissists like Scotus are incapable of really understanding another person, distracted as they are so much with who they wish the person was, that they can't hope to see the other person as they really are.
